World chart

This website shows tide predictions for locations around the world.

The tide stations appear on a world chart. The chart shows the shape of the coastline, bounding the oceans, seas, and other connected bodies of water. River-mouths are shown, and the river itself is followed a short distance in from the coast. Steep or shallow terrain on the coast is depicted using shading.

Navigate around the chart by panning and zooming, or by using the search feature.

Tide graph

The tide stations appear on the chart as coloured circles. The colour represents the phase of the tide at that station. See ☰ Chart - Station colours for a colour key.

Tap on a station marker to see the tide graph for that station. Move the graph right or left to see the tide level at earlier or later times. Zoom the graph to see shorter or longer time intervals. Set the time zone via ☰ Time - Time zone to show times per your device time zone, or the time zone at the station.

Sources

The chart images were created using 3 arc-second elevation data from viewfinderpanoramas.org. This data set covers the whole world, collated and corrected from the best available sources by Jonathan de Ferranti.

Place names are shown on the chart, for marine features and for land features on or near the coast. Those shown are a subset of the millions of places available from geonames.org. GeoNames is a geographical database created by Marc Wick. The GeoNames project is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License.
